GSM Valtech has CNC punching capability for materials from 0.3 mm to 6 mm thick. We regularly punch mild steel, aluminium, stainless steel, copper, brass and plastic.
Our Amada CNC punching machines are capable of greater processing speeds compared to our laser cutting machine and can therefore in most cases can give you cheaper process cost.
CNC punching has the added advantage of being able to produce forms into a sheet metal part, which eliminates the need for a secondary operation on a press. These include dimples, crack and form tools for tie-wrap and location tabs, knockouts for electrical sockets, louvres, ribbing, extruded and punch tapped holes and integral hinges.
Our maximum sheet size is 2.5 m x 1.25 m without reposition. With reposition our only constraint is the 1.25 m width.
